Introducing John Moyer as Select Girls Program Director and Director of Goalkeeping!
We are excited to announce the addition of John Moyer, aka “Coach Johnny,” as our new Select Girls Director and Goalkeeper Director. Coach Johnny as most recently been supporting the boys & girls in the Goalkeeper program for at Capital City Soccer Club, and is excited now to be joining the Pflugerville FC coaching staff. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on Psychology and Nueroscience, and a playing background with the Houston Texans SC, UT Men’s Soccer Club, and Austin Bold, Coach Johnny has a diverse set of skills and experience. In collaboration with other National team and Division 1 Coaches, he has organized and coached with EGK Camps, Next Action Soccer, and Defensive 3rd Soccer.

John brings a strong coaching background, a clear passion for player development, and a commitment to building strong environments for both our goalkeepers and girls program. Select Girls Program
Coach Johnny is excited and honored to take on the opportunity to continue building a strong, competitive, and player-centered environment for the PFC Select Girls program. As for his philosophy, he believes, “Every player deserves a clear pathway, strong mentorship, and daily standards that challenge them to grow both on and off the field. My goal is to develop confident players, empower strong young women, and build a culture that lasts while inspiring a true love for the game. I look forward to supporting our players, coaches, and families as we work together to move the girls program forward.”
Goalkeeper Program
As a dynamic Goalkeeper Coach with a proven track record at Capital City SC, Coach Johnny excelled in goalkeeper performance analysis and player mentoring. He is an expert in designing tailored training plans that enhance technical skills and foster psychological resilience. “PFC is a club with strong values, a clear vision, and a real commitment to player development,” he says. “Every save begins with preparation—mentally, physically, and tactically. Every goalkeeper deserves a pathway that allows them to reach their full potential on and off the field. I am looking forward to working with the goalkeepers, supporting the coaching staff, and helping create an environment where our players can grow with confidence, discipline, and a passion for the game.”
FREE High School Girls Clinic: July 21st
TONIGHT, Coach Johnny will be at our Free High School Girls Clinic at 1849 Park 7pm-9pm. It’s not too late to register and get to meet and train with the new Director!
