NEW THIS FALL
PAYSL SUNDAY 1-DAY LEAGUE
Join us on Sunday afternoons this Fall for our new Sunday 1-Day League. We are excited to share this new league where boys and girls, ages U4-U7, can enjoy lower-commitment than our regular PAYSL Rec League. This will be great for families who just want to try soccer, little multi-sport athletes, or for families with multiple athletes and/or already busy schedules.
Show up to the fields at your scheduled time each Sunday for 30 minutes of practice with your volunteer coach, followed by a game against another team in the league. The league will start at either 1PM or 2PM (depending on the age group) which should leave time for naps and other important Sunday morning activities. Each team will have 6 regular season games with playoffs on the 7th weekend.
DON’T WAIT! Late registration begins September 6, 2026 and prices increase!
The inaugural PAYSL Sunday 1-Day soccer season begins Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Uniforms, team picture, and medals included. No additional practice field fees.
** Sibling discounts available

In order to register for any programs or events, you will need to create an account. For help with this process, please use these quick start guides in English or Spanish.
FORMAT OF PLAY
As players move up in age, the field, ball, and goal sizes increase along with the number of players on the field at one time. See below for basic guidelines at each age level.
For detailed league rules, see our Laws of the Game. Combined age groups will use the rules for the oldest age group. Example: U6/U7 will use the U7 rules.

NEW! AGE GROUP CHANGES
U.S. Soccer has announced a return to school-year age groupings beginning with the Fall 2026 season. The new model divides age groups for players born between August 1 - July 31 of each year. Use this calculator below to determine which age group your player falls in this season. For questions about the age group changes coming this Fall, read more here.
**Players may request to play up to an older group, but players may never play down to a younger group.

PAYSL SUNDAY 1-DAY LEAGUE FAQS
-
Fees cover referee fees (U6/U7 age group), league fees, player insurance, fields and equipment, uniforms, team pictures, and participation medals.
-
You will need to buy cleats, shin guards and a ball. They also need a large water bottle to bring to practice and games.
-
Yes! At these ages, all regular PAYSL Rec League games will be held on Saturdays and will not conflict with the Sunday 1-Day League.
-
Returning players are placed on returning teams (unless specified otherwise on the player’s registration), first come first served. New players are placed on teams in a manner where rosters are balanced with an equal number of players or close to it. Specific team placement requests are honored on a best effort basis.
-
PAYSL’s age-group Vice Presidents are responsible for team formation in their respective age groups.
-
No. Recreational soccer does not allow a coach to decide who is or isn't rostered to their team.
-
Chances are the team does not have a volunteer coach yet, and the age-group VP is looking for one. The age-group VP will send an e-mail to the team to inform everyone of the status.
If you’re willing to help, consider volunteering to coach.
-
Because practices are held for 30 minutes before games, the first practice will also be on your first game day!
-
For our inaugural Fall season, we will start a few weeks after our regular PAYSL Recreational League, and end a few weeks after as well. This means that games will run from the end of September until the middle of November.
Spring season: Info coming soon…
-
You will hear from your son/daughter’s volunteer coach about 2 weeks before the season begins. PlayMetrics is primarily used for communications. Make sure you have downloaded the app and turn notifications ON.
The coach will have information about your schedule, and he/she will have the uniforms to hand out. The coach will also hold a parent meeting to communicate team activities, roles and responsibilities, and answer questions from parents.
-
In the PAYSL Recreational League, all coaches are 100% volunteers. They can be a parent, friend, family member, etc. PAYSL would not exist without volunteer coaches. All coaches must register to coach and complete a background check to be approved.
-
If you are interested in coaching please contact the appropriate VP for your player’s age/gender. Then you must register to coach by creating a GotSport Coach account and submitting your information for a background check. You will also need to complete the SafeSports and Heads-Up training. If approved, your VP will be in touch around the time registration is ending.
If you have players who want to join your team, please make sure each player states their request in their registration. We attempt to honor all the requests we can, but sometimes it’s not possible. Contact your VP for questions.
Once you’re approved and looking to learn more as a coach, PAYSL can reimburse coaches that take certain coaching courses.
