PFLUGERVILLE FC SELECT
OUR PROGRAM & PHILOSOPHY
Pflugerville FC Select is focused on pure player development. Our staff, coaches, and board members strive to give our players the best chance to develop successful soccer skill sets to help carry them across their many different levels of play. Development leads to success and that is the basis for all PFC training. Pflugerville FC Select teams play in a variety of leagues including: Super League of Austin, CAYSA Division-2, WDDOA, State Classic League and STXCL.
The Pflugerville FC philosophy is based on the premise that team sports help develop talents and skills that will make a positive contribution in the development of the whole person through sportsmanship, physical, and mental fitness.

PFC PLAYER PATHWAY
PFC Select League Information
At U11, players are no longer eligible for the Academy program and must either tryout for the Select Program, or enter into the Recreational Program. At Pflugerville FC, our Select Program offers all levels of competition with the same high quality coaching and structured training sessions regardless of the level of competition.
It is important to understand that the higher the level of competition, the larger the conference, which means more travel.
U11 and U12 Teams
Captial Area Youth Soccer Association (CAYSA) Division II and Super League of Austin (SLA):
These local leagues are considered one step above our Recreational League which participates in CAYSA Division III. Teams that participate in these leagues should mostly play in the Austin and surrounding areas. The exception would be if a team advances in the Fall Championship bracket, or in the Spring Cup bracket. Advancing in these end of season playoffs could require additional travel within South Texas.South Texas Champions League (STXCL) Western Conference and Western District Designated Operations Association (WDDOA):
These two leagues are one step above CAYSA and SLA and provide additional levels of competition. Both leagues operate in the Western half of South Texas and travel could include Austin, San Antonio, and the surrounding areas; with playoffs that could include crossover with the Eastern half of South Texas (Houston). For U12 teams, this is considered the “proving ground” for U13 placement. This is also the pathway for teams that want to be promoted into Regional competition.STXCL WC is sanctioned under US Club Soccer, and includes tiered brackets to ensure even competition.
WDDOA is sanctioned under US Youth Soccer. WDDOA includes 3 tiers of competition called Alpha, Challenger, and Prime which also ensure even competition.
STXCL Pre-ECNL:
New in Fall 2026! STXCL is introducing Pre-ECNL League that will be similar to the one running in the North Texas area. This will be the highest level of competition that U11 and U12 teams can participate in. For the first season, this league will only be available to U11 and U12 boys, but the league hopes to expand to the girls side, and also down to U10 in the future. From Pre-ECNL, teams may be promoted directly into the STXCL WC, the National 1 League, or all the way up into ECNL-RL STXCL at U13. Placement will depend on U12 performance.
U13 through U18/U19
At U13, teams can continue to compete in SLA, CAYSA DII, WDDOA, or the STXCL WC. However, depending on performance, teams may also be eligible for the following higher level leagues.
National 1 League:
New in Fall 2026! This league is a unified platform for both US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer which integrates into the ECNL platform. This league is divided into 8 conferences, and each conference is divided into 4 divisions. Each division is operated by one “league operator”. Pflugerville FC geographically falls into the South Conference, and Division 3. Division 3 is operated by STXCL and there are two tiers within this league.Tier 2 will be divided into an East and West to keep travel similar to that of the STXCL WC. These teams will be playing for promotion into Tier 1, and to avoid relegation back into the STXCL WC.
Tier 1 will be a combined year-long bracket of teams from the East and West. This means that teams can expect to travel as far as the Houston area for games. These teams are playing for National 1 League playoffs and promotion into ECNL-RL STXCL; and to avoid relegation back into Tier 2.
ECNL-RL STXCL:
This league is the highest possible team-based competition available. This bracket will consist of 12-16 teams from both the East and West with ECNL-RL playoff opportunities. These teams are playing to avoid relegation into Tier 1.
